This standard applies to the determination of thromboplastin time (PT) in plasma from citrated venous blood. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 063-03-05 AA "Hämostaseologie" ("Haemostaseology") at the Standards Committee Medicine (NAMed) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. in collaboration with the Society of Thrombosis and Haemostatis Research (GTH e.V.).
