Ramps installed on vehicles for wheelchair users and for people restricted in their mobility - Safety requirements and testing
Abstract
This document specifies the safety requirements for ramps for wheelchair users and other persons with reduced mobility that are connected to or form part of the vehicle or means of transport (hereinafter referred to as the vehicle). The ramps can be power-operated, hand-operated or manually operated. Vehicles within the meaning of this standard are -Rail vehicles; e.g. railroads, underground and suburban railroads, streetcars, special design railroads; -Buses and coaches from vehicle class M2. The requirements according to DIN 75078-1 for motor vehicles for the transportation of persons with reduced mobility are not part of this standard.
