Overview

This part of ISO 14490 specifies test equipment and test procedures for determination of the following optical characteristics of telescopic sights: - axial parallax; - parallax; - eye relief range; - reticle tracking; - line of sight shift due to zooming; - line of sight shift due to focusing. This document (ISO 14490-3:2016) has been prepared by ISO/SC 4 "Telescopic systems" (secretariat: GOST R, Russia) with the collaboration of German experts. Working Committee NA 027-01-10 AA "Fernrohre und Vergrößerungsgläser" ("Telescopic systems") at DIN Standards Committee Optics and Precision Mechanics (NAFuO) at DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V. (German Institute for Standardization) is responsible.
