Overview

This document applies to blanks of block as holders for processing spectacle lenses. The block is first placed in a predetermined position opposite a surface of the spectacle lens and in this position the space between the block and the spectacle lens is filled with molten material. After the filling material has solidified, the block is a receptacle for processing the lens. The purpose of this specification is to enable uniform connecting sizes of the workpiece holders to the corresponding devices, machines and means of transportation. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 027-01-11 AA "Fertigungsmittel der Optik" ("Production in optical engineering") at DIN Standards Committee Optics and Precision Mechanics (NAFuO).
