Fire-fighting equipment for fire-fighting and rescue service vehicles - Part 18: Additional equipment loading sets for fire-fighting vehicles; Supplement 14: Equipment loading set N, lifting bag system
Feuerwehrtechnische Ausrüstung für Feuerwehrfahrzeuge - Teil 18: Zusatzbeladungssätze für Löschfahrzeuge; Beiblatt 14: Beladungssatz N, Hebekissensystem
Overview
DIN 14800-18 contains requirements for the composition of additional equipment loading sets that can be transported as auxiliary fire-fighting equipment on fire-fighting vehicles. This supplement to DIN 14800-18 lists the appropriate fire-fighting equipment of equipment loading set N for use with lifting bags that has proven to be particularly advantageous in fire-fighting operations. When selecting these items of equipment reference has been made to DIN standards where possible. When procuring fire-fighting vehicles additional equipment is very often agreed upon in addition to the mandatory standard equipment specified in the respective vehicle type standards. The appropriate additional equipment loading set is summarized centrally in this document in order to facilitate the composition of possible additional equipment for users, manufacturers and dealers as well as to unify it during this process for application-tactical reasons. During the compilation of all supplements to DIN 14800-18 all additional equipment loading sets of existing fire-fighting vehicle type standards have been adopted and updated, and further appropriate equipment loading sets have been newly compiled. During the future revision of the respective fire-fighting vehicle type standards the potentially included table containing additional equipment loading sets will be deleted and replaced by a reference to the corresponding loading module in this document. Deviations from this composition due to application-tactical requirements or overriding space and weight reserves shall be agreed during ordering. It is not required to transport multiple versions of load items when they already included in other accompanying equipment sets, with the exception of a high usage probability.
