Overview
This standard applies both to uncut and edged lenses and glazed spectacles adjusted to the wearer's head and serves for overall communication and in particular for application in the field of education as well as in publications. Due to the adoption of the revised editions of the European Standards EN ISO 8624 and EN ISO 13666 it has been necessary to prepare a new version of this standard as a residual standard. In addition to the terms defined in the European standards, it comprises necessary and common terms for lenses and the system spectacle - eye for use in the technical German language. This standard has been prepared by the Optics and Precision Mechanics Standards Committee (NAFuO), Working Committee NA 027-01-08 AA "Augenoptik" ("Ophthalmic optics").
