Abstract
This document applies to surgical instruments. In the standards for the individual instruments, the respective closure type is defined by specifying the standard designation. This means that the end length l is also specified for the instrument with through-hole closure and the thread d1 and the head diameter d2 for the instrument with screw closure. This document was prepared by the working committee NA 027-05-01 AA "Surgical instruments" in the Precision Mechanics and Optics Standards Committee (NAFuO).
