The national committee NA 027-02-08 AA Diving apparatus develops standards which mainly complete the Essential Requirements of the EC-Directive on Personal Protective Equipment in this area. The committee is responsible for the development of standards for open-circuit self-contained diving apparatus for different diving gases, for open-circuit umbilical supplied diving apparatus, self-contained re-breathing diving apparatus and compressed gases for breathing apparatus. The committee mirrors the work of CEN/TC 79/SC 7 Diving apparatus the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
