Abstract
This document is applicable without restriction solely to cold formed helical compression springs made from wire and bar. It specifies a form in A4 format according to DIN EN ISO 216 for the information to be supplied on these compression springs. NOTE 1 When designing compression springs from sectional steel, it shall be noted that non-standardized sections cannot always be supplied. In many cases, however, the square section can be replaced by a circular cross-section. NOTE 2 If compression springs made of sectional steels cannot be avoided in special cases, e.g. for installation reasons, it is necessary to consult the spring manufacturer. The form can then be completed according to corresponding agreements about design and permissible deviations.
