Aesthetic surgery services
NA 159-03-03 AA "Aesthetic surgery services" is responsible for the processing of all standardization projects related to aesthetic surgery services at national and European level. In particular, it reflects the work of CEN/TC 403 "Aesthetic surgery and aesthetic non-surgical medical services". The aim of the committee is to develop standards that define requirements for patient services in cosmetic surgery, such as ethical framework conditions and general principles before, during and after the surgical procedure. In particular, the focus is on requirements for the competencies of medical personnel, the scope of information for the patient, medical facilities and the quality of surgical procedures. In October 2013, it was decided to extend the scope of CEN/TC 403 so that non-surgical services are now also standardized in addition to surgical services. A second standard was developed for this purpose.
