DIN Standards Committee Dentistry

Overview

This standard applies to multi-function handpieces supplied by dental treatment units and used in dentistry on patients to remove contaminants from the oral cavity by water and air. This standard specifies requirements, test methods, manufacturer's specifications, marking and packaging. This standard does not apply to dental handpieces and motors, powered scalers, powder jet handpieces, prophylaxis handpieces, suction cannulas and saliva ejectors.
