Overview
The European Standard EN 15804:2012+A1:2013 provides core rules for all construction products and services. It offers a framework to ensure that all environmental product declarations (EPD) for construction products, services and processes are created, verified and presented in the same way. This European Standard provides additional rules for environmental product declarations (EPD), specifically for concrete and concrete elements. It completes the core rules for all construction products and services described in EN 15804:2012+A1:2013. An EPD communicates verifiable, accurate, non-misleading environmental information for products and their applications. It supports scientifically sound, fair decisions and creates an incentive for continuous improvement of environmental quality using market mechanisms. This document (EN 16757:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 229 "Precast concrete products", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 005-07-08 AA "Betonfertigteile (Sp CEN/TC 229)" ("Precast concrete products (mirror committee of CEN/TC 229)") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NaBau).
