Overview
This standard applies to digital cameras on aircraft and satellite platforms, the image acquisition and the resulting image data. This standard applies to image data from digital area scan or digital line scan cameras used for metrological purposes. The standard differs from DIN 18740-4:2007-09 as follows: a) the revised version no longer distinguishes between aerial cameras and satellite cameras in the requirements; b) the title has been modified; c) the standard has been generally revised and adapted to the state of the art. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-03-02 AA "Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung" ("Photogrammetry and remote sensing") at DIN.
