DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This European Standard specifies the requirements for light transmitting flat multiwall polycarbonate (PC) sheets for internal and external use in walls, roofs and ceilings. This European Standard applies to light transmitting flat extruded multiwall PC sheets with or without functional layers (for example coating, co-extruded layer) made from PC-based or other materials, without filling materials. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 16153:2013-06: a) symbols in Table 1 as well as in the corresponding clauses and figures have been corrected; b) formulas in 5.2.1.2 have been revised; c) the standard has been adjusted to the Construction Products Regulation: Clause 6 "Conformity assessment" has been replaced by "Assessment and verification of constancy of performance - AVCP". Annex ZA has also been adjusted to the Construction Products Regulation; d) furthermore, other editorial modifications for some concepts and formulations in the German version have been made in order to adjust to DIN EN 16240:2014-03 "Light transmitting flat solid polycarbonate (PC) sheets for internal and external use in roofs, walls and ceilings - Requirements and test methods". The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-02-07 AA "Vorgefertigte Zubehörteile für Dachdeckungen (SpA zu CEN/TC 128/SC 9)" ("Prefabricated accessories for roof coverings (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 128/SC 9)") at DIN.
