DIN EN 10346
Continuously hot-dip coated steel flat products for cold forming - Technical delivery conditions; German version EN 10346:2015
Kontinuierlich schmelztauchveredelte Flacherzeugnisse aus Stahl zum Kaltumformen - Technische Lieferbedingungen; Deutsche Fassung EN 10346:2015
Overview
The standard 10346 specifies technical delivery conditions for continuously hot-dip coated products made of low carbon steels for cold forming, of steels for construction and of steels with high proof strength for cold forming coated with zinc (Z), zinc-iron alloy (ZF), zinc-aluminium alloy (ZA), aluminium-zinc alloy (AZ), aluminium-silicon alloy (AS) or zinc-magnesium alloy (ZM) and for continuously hot-dip coated products made of multiphase steels for cold forming coated with zinc (Z), zinc-iron alloy (ZF), zinc-aluminium alloy (ZA) or zinc-magnesium alloy (ZM) in thicknesses from 0,20 mm to 3,0 mm. The important modifications compared to DIN EN 10346:2009 are as follows: 1) an option for extending the scope to include products of thicknesses under 0,20 mm or between 3,0 mm to 6,5 mm has been included. In this context specifications regarding the mechanical properties, the samples to be tested, the adhesion of the metallic coating and the requirements for the surface quality have been given; 2) a new zinc-magnesium alloy with all required details has been included; 3) new steel grades have been added; 4) consistent revision of the technical information on the steel grades used. The responsible German standardization committee is Subcommittee 01/2 "Oberflächenveredelte Flacherzeugnisse aus Stahl" ("Coated steel flat products") at DIN Standards Committee Iron and Steel (FES).
