Kriterien für die Anwendung von Fenstern und Außentüren nach DIN EN 14351-1
Overview
This standard serves to determine the criteria for object-related use of windows, including skylights, and exterior doors in accordance with DIN EN 14351-1. The criteria in accordance with this standard refer to windows and exterior doors in the installation situation which, for example, are specified by the mounting position and building height, etcetera. It applies independently of the material for windows and exterior doors from suitable building materials and their combinations. Automatic door systems in accordance with DIN EN 16361 do not fall into the scope of application of this standard. Until applicability of the European product standard DIN EN 16034 for fire doorsets the performance characteristics typical of exterior doors of "fire and/or smoke protection doors for exterior application" are specified in the respective general building approval and/or the general building test certificate. The other performance characteristics of these doors can be determined in accordance with this standard. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-09-01 AA "Türen, Tore, Fenster, Abschlüsse, Baubeschläge und Vorhangfassaden (SpA zu CEN/TC 33 und ISO/TC 162)" ("Doors, windows, shutters, building hardware and curtain walling (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 33 and ISO/TC 162)") at DIN.
