Sprayed concrete - National application rules for series DIN EN 14487 and rules for design of sprayed concrete constructions

Overview
This standard applies for sprayed concrete to be used for repair and reinforcement of existing structures, for new structures and for the stabilization of excavation pits, cavities and slopes. It also applies for sprayed concrete for the cladding of underground structures of structural engineering. This standard applies for normal weight or lightweight concrete members with closed structure according to - DIN EN 206-1 with DIN 1045-2, - DIN EN 1992-1-1:2011-01 with DIN EN 1992-1-1 (NA), DIN EN 13670 with DIN 1045-3. The standard contains specifications allowing the application of DIN EN 14487-1 and DIN EN 14487-2 in Germany, as well as specifications for the dimensioning and constructive design of structures and sprayed concrete. This standard also applies for sprayed mortar manufactured, monitored and processed like sprayed concrete according to DIN EN 14487-1 in connection with DIN 18551 and used for levelling out the surface or for surface smoothing. Depending on the field of application, additional tests shall be carried out for sprayed mortar manufactured from a prefabricated dry mix and used for the repair of concrete members, according to the 3rd corrigendum of the Instandsetzungsrichtlinie (German Guideline of Concrete Repair), 2001 edition. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 18551: 2010-02: a) regulations for sprayed mortar are transferred into the DAfStb-Richtlinie "Schutz und Instandsetzung von Betonbauteilen" ("Protection and repair of concrete members"); b) in the entire text of the standard, the Normative References to DIN 1045-1 have been replaced by DIN EN 1992-1-1:2011-01 in connection with DIN EN 1992-1-1 (NA); c) in the entire text of the standard, the Normative References to DIN 1045-3 have been replaced by DIN EN 13670:2011-03 in connection with DIN 1045-3:2012-03; d) incorporation of informative Annex A providing explanations regarding sampling in accordance with EN 14487-1:2007, Table 12; e) standard editorially revised.
