DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This National Annex contains the national provisions for the design of structural members of bridges which shall be considered when applying DIN EN 1995-2:2010-12 in Germany. This document applies only in conjunction with DIN EN 1995-2. Unless this document contains no contrary regulations, DIN EN 1995-1-1, DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA:2010-12 and DIN 1052-10 (under preparation) apply. This document constitutes the National Annex to DIN EN 1995-2 "Eurocode 5: Design of timber structures - Part 2: Bridges". The European Standard EN 1995-2 allows national safety parameters to be specified for a number of points. These nationally determined parameters (NDP) cover alternative procedures, the provision of individual values, and the selection of classes from designated classification systems. The relevant parts of the text are identified in the European Standard by references to the possibility of national choice. Furthermore, this National Annex of EN 1991-2 contains non-contradictory complementary information and explanations as NCI, which are permitted according to Guidance Paper L "Application and use of Eurocodes" of the European Commission. This document (DIN EN 1995-2/NA) has been prepared by Mirror Committee NA 005-04-01 AA "Holzbau" ("Timber structures") or NA 005-04-01-03 AK "Holzbau - Arbeitskreis Nationaler Anhang zu DIN EN 1995-2" ("Timber structures - Working Committee National Annex to DIN EN 1995-2") at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e.
