DIN EN 675
Glass in building - Determination of thermal transmittance (U value) - Heat flow meter method; German version EN 675:2011
Glas im Bauwesen - Bestimmung des Wärmedurchgangskoeffizienten (U-Wert) - Wärmestrommesser-Verfahren; Deutsche Fassung EN 675:2011
Overview
The standard has been prepared by WG 9 "Light and energy transmission, thermal insulation" of CEN/TC 129 "Glass in building". At DIN, the Working Committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-09-91 AA "Prüfung von Beschichtungen auf Glas" ("Tests for coatings on glass") at NABau. The standard EN 675 published in 1997 was based on ISO 10293 "Glass in building - Determination of steady-state U values (thermal transmittance) of multiple glazing - Heat flow meter". The main modification of this standard is the adjustment of the internal and external heat transfer coefficients to reflect the modifications made in EN 673. Clarification is also given in the scope that the procedure according to EN 675 should generally only be considered when the calculation method detailed in EN 673 is inappropriate or unsuitable.
