Air regulation systems for mining - Swinging roadway air doors for haulage tracks
Wetterbauwerke für den Bergbau - Wetter-Pendeltüren für den Förderweg
Overview
Underground workings in mines must be supplied with fresh air. The air flow is guided and regulated via air regulating systems. Air doors are openings in these regulating systems which serve for the passage of persons (travelling track) or haulage (haulage track). This standard applies to swinging roadway air doors intended for haulage tracks with suspended monorails, trap rail haulage systems, rubber tyred vehicles and rail haulage systems. They must compensate weather pressures - depending on the door size - of up to 780 Pa by preloaded springs. The standard specifies the dimensions, materials and designations for three different types of swinging roadway air doors. Furthermore, the standard contains safety requirements for swinging roadway air doors. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-06-01 AA "Wettertüren" ("Air doors") of FABERG.
