Wärmeschutz und Energie-Einsparung in Gebäuden - Teil 7: Luftdichtheit von Gebäuden - Anforderungen, Planungs- und Ausführungsempfehlungen sowie -beispiele
Overview
In respects to DIN 4108-7:2001-08, this standard contains the adaptation to current technical developments and the more precise formulation of the requirements for bondings (substrates/processing, etcetera). This standard contains requirements, planning and performance recommendations as well as performance examples, including suitable construction products for compliance with requirements on the air tightness of heated or air-conditioned buildings and building parts. The terms and definitions in clause 3 are applicable as a method of distinction from wind tightness, which is not subject of this document. The design examples do not deal with functional joints and openings in the heat-transferring enclosing surface, for instance, closing joints of doors and windows, belt guides for roller shutter boxes and letter boxes. Only principle sketches and example sketches are represented. They are not construction detail drawings and they do not represent other constructive or physical matters. Other solutions are permissible if the principle of air tightness is conformed to. An essential demand of the industry representative, amongst others, is the adaptation of the standard to the sealing variant films/masonry with liquid sealing adhesive which has been used almost exclusively in the last few years. In clause 7, this is performed without mechanical protection (pressure plate), in contrast to DIN 4108-7:2001-08. Information about situations in which connections without mechanical protection are not suitable was included with the detailed description of the boundary conditions for safe sealing in the text. The structure has improved together with the modifications to the content. Numerous example sketches show suggestions for solutions for development of airtight connections, for corner connections with plate materials, for connections in lightweight metal construction and for concrete, amongst others. The Committee responsible for this standard is Working Committee NA 005-56-93 AA "Luftdichtheit" ("Air tightness") at the Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee (NABau).
