Soil - Calculation of design bearing capacity of soil beneath shallow foundations
Abstract
This document is applicable to the calculation of design bearing capacity of soil beneath shallow foundations based on strata profiles and characteristics soil values according to DIN 4020. It deals with bases for calculation and calculation procedures which are used to determine the design bearing capacity in the surface of shallow foundations. The calculation procedures are based on the assumption that the shear parameters of every stratum to be considered are approximately unidirectional.
