Abstract
This document contains guidelines on the principles and requirements for the planning, dimensioning, installation, acceptance and maintenance of mounting systems for solar installations (photovoltaic and solar thermal) and their construction and mounting on flat or pitched roofs and facades. This also includes ballasted systems. This document does not apply to the electrical, thermal or mechanical properties and durability of the PV modules and solar collectors themselves and their electrical or hydraulic connections.
