Abstract

This document provides inputs to the CPR acquis group about the content of the high-level structure of harmonized technical specifications related to structural timber products and ancillaries. Tables list the products covered by the product group and give certain limitations for them. Products not covered by the product group are also given. This document provides inputs related to the definition of the scope of the product area. The document renews the scope of Mandate 112. For LVL the scope renews part of the scope of Mandate 113 as the product was covered by two Mandates and standards have been written in CEN/TC 124 (for structural LVL) and CEN/TC 112 (for non-structural LVL). This document also provides inputs related to the essential characteristics, assessment methods, classes of performance, threshold levels, requirements, and information needs.
