Armourstone - Part 1: Characteristics; German and English version prEN 13383-1:2021
Abstract
The European Standard Part 1 specifies the characteristics of armourstone for use in hydraulic structures and other civil engineering works and specifies procedures for assessment and verification of constancy (AVCP) of performances of characteristics of the armourstone as well as marking and labelling of these products. Armourstone covered in this European Standard are aggregates, obtained by processing natural, manufactured (e.g. ferrous and steel making slag) or recycled materials and mixtures of these aggregates. Armourstone covered in this European Standard are aggregates with coarse grading, light grading, and heavy grading. This European Standard does not cover:- armourstone with finer aggregates than specifies (i.g. lower limit sieve < 90 mm),- armourstone with the length to thickness ratio lower than 3.
