This standard specifies further terms that are not contained in DIN EN ISO 4618. It applies to the coatings industry and the consumers (industry, trade, non-commercial end users) who process the products of the coatings industry. It should also be the basis for (technical) publications, for dealings with authorities, for invitations to tender, for expert opinions and the like. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 002-00-01 AA "Begriffe" ("Terminology") at DIN Standards Committee Coatings and Coating Materials (NAB).
