Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products - Test methods for non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives - Part 2: Determination of particle size distribution (ISO 11127-2:2011); German version EN ISO 11127-2:2011
Vorbereitung von Stahloberflächen vor dem Auftragen von Beschichtungsstoffen - Prüfverfahren für nichtmetallische Strahlmittel - Teil 2: Bestimmung der Korngrößenverteilungen (ISO 11127-2:2011); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 11127-2:2011
Overview
This is one of a number of parts of ISO 11127 dealing with the sampling and testing of non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives. The various types of non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives and requirements on each are contained in the various parts of ISO 11127. The ISO 11126 and ISO 11127 standard series have been drafted as a coherent set of International Standards on non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives. Information on all parts of both standard series is given in Annex A. This part of ISO 11127 specifies a method for the determination of the particle size distribution of non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives by sieving. The committee responsible for this European Standard EN ISO 11127-2 is CEN/TC 139 "Paints and varnishes" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The underlying International Standard ISO 11127-2 has been prepared by ISO/TC 35/SC 12 "Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 002-00-11 AA "Strahlmittel" ("Blast-cleaning abrasives") of the Coatings and Coating Materials Standards Committee (NAB).
