DIN Standards Committee Valves

Overview

This standard is applicable for milk processing machinery and plant for acceptance, stacking, cleaning as well as treatment and processing of raw milk, milk for the manufacture of milk-based products, milk concentrate and other basic milk products and the subsequent provision of the products for further use. It describes the basic requirements and particularities of milk processing plant techniques. The standard serves in this context the support of - new buildings of plants, - modifications to existing plants, - new construction of plants, - modifications to existing plants. Requirements for milk processing machinery and plants for the further processing of treated milk and milk products for manufacture of cheese and cream cheese, butter, fermented milk products, ice-cream, condensed milk and dried milk products are not covered by this standard. The national interests in the preparation of the standard have been represented by Committee NA 060-18-06-02 "Milchwirtschaftliche Maschinen und Anlagen" ("Milk processing machinery and plant") of Technical Section "Nahrungsmittelmaschinen und Verpackungsmaschinen" ("Machinery intended for use with foodstuffs and feed and packaging machinery") at DIN Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM).
