DIN 11866
Stainless steel components for aseptic applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry - Tubes
Komponenten aus nichtrostendem Stahl für aseptische Anwendungen in der chemischen und pharmazeutischen Industrie - Rohre
Overview
This standard applies to dimensions, materials, internal and external surface finish and marking of seamless and welded stainless steel tubes with external diameters ranging from 6,35 mm to 219,1 mm for tubing systems and outlet tubes for fittings in the aseptic, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. With regard to the scope of testing, it applies in conjunction with DIN EN 10217-7 und DIN EN 10216-5. With regard to materials, this standard is valid in conjunction with DIN EN 10088-1. After appropriate end processing, the tubes are suitable for orbital welding with one another and in combination with valves and fittings according to DIN 11864-1, DIN 11864-2, DIN 11864-3, DIN 11865, DIN 11867 and DIN 32676. Due to special requirements for these tubes, in particular for testing, tolerances and surfaces, DIN 11866 differs significantly from other standards, such as DIN EN 10357. This standard is not interchangeable with other standards on stainless steel tubes.
