Overview
The standard describes the determination of odour in ambient air in the sphere of influence of an odour plume. The determination of the existing odour exposure is carried out in the field by qualified testers. Plume measurements are used to obtain information about the odour in ambient air within an odour plume under specific meteorological conditions. The use of plume measurement is suitable for determining plume range or for inverse calculation to emission source strengths with suitable dispersion models.
