Emissionen aus stationären Quellen - Bestimmung von Treibhausgasen (THG) aus energieintensiven Industrien - Teil 2: Stahl- und Eisenindustrie; Deutsche Fassung EN 19694-2:2016
Overview
The standard "Stationary source emissions - Determination of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in energy-intensive industries - Part 3: Iron and steel industry" provides a uniform method for calculating GHG emissions from the steel industry. This standard applies to facilities producing the products of the steel value chain. The standard deals with the specific aspects for the determination of GHG emissions from steel production and the assessment of emission performance. This standard is to be used in conjunction with the standard "Stationary source emissions - Determination of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in energy-intensive industries - Part 1: General aspects", which deals with general aspects and is a general, overarching standard. It contains general requirements, definitions and rules for the determination of GHG emissions for all energy-intensive sectors, which also applies to the aforementioned standard, regulates common methodological issues and specifies the details for applying the rules for the harmonized methods.
