This committee is responsible for the standardization in the field of grey cast irons, spheroidal graphite cast irons, compacted (vermicular) graphite cast irons, malleable cast irons, ausferritic spheroidal graphite cast irons and austenitic cast irons. Among other things it defines terms, definitions and classification, sampling, material properties and chemical composition.
