Overview
The standard deals with trowels for tilers. It specifies the dimensions and designation, the material, the design and the marking of these trowels. The standard differs from DIN 6397:1988-05 as follows: a) the normative references have been updated; b) requirements for steel quality and hardness have been adapted to the state of the art; c) the standard has been editorially revised. This document has been prepared at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS), Working Committee NA 121-05-14 AA "Sonstige Hand- und Hilfswerkzeuge" ("Other hand and auxiliary tools").
