DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices

Overview

The standard specifies the basic dimensions of headed angle pins and straight angle pins. Angle pins are used for moulding tools in which sliders shall be actuated. The angle pins are standardized in the diameter range D₁ = 10 mm to D₁ = 40 mm. Depending on the diameters D₁, the total lengths L₁ have been specified from 63 mm to 500 mm. The standard also specifies information regarding material, hardness and a designation example. The International Standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 29/SC 8 "Tools for pressing and moulding" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) with the participation of German experts. The acceptance of the work results into the German set of rules has been decided by Working Committee NA 121-03-03 AA "SpA ISO/TC 29/SC 8/WG 3 Press-, Spritzgieß- und Druckgießwerkzeuge" ("Mirror Committee ISO/TC 29/SC 8/WG 3 Tools for moulding") at the DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
