Overview

This standard specifies requirements for hatchets. This standard specifies in addition to the dimensions for hatchet and handle for various nominal masses of hatchets and the standard designation the requirements for the materials of hatchet head and handle as well as the marking of these striking tools. Requirements for plastic handles have been incorporated for the first time. This German standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-05-12 AA "Schlagwerkzeuge" ("Impact tools") at the FWS.
