Overview
Product requirements for screwdrivers for hexagon insert bits are specified in this German standard. These screwdrivers serve for the accommodation of screw driver bits with hexagon shaft form C according to DIN ISO 1173.
In addition to the maximum permissible dimensions for various sizes of screwdrivers, information is given in the DIN standard about the material to be used, design and designation of these tools. Furthermore, specifications are made regarding the standard designation and torque testing.
This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-05-01 AA "Schraubwerkzeuge, Fügewerkzeuge" ("Assembly tools for screws and nuts; joining tools") of the FWS at DIN.
