Overview
This document applies for the vehicle function continuous automatic train-running control. Wear, failures and other damage influence the operational safety of railway vehicles. Depending on the wear characteristics, application parameters and the current state of the railway vehicles and the cost effectiveness, a maintenance system shall be specified by which it is ensured that the necessary target state is maintained and the specified maintenance and test methods are applied. This document applies for driver's safety devices of time-related driver's safety device, time-distance related driver's safety device, time-time related driver's safety device and call-related driver's safety device. This document also applies for two-way vehicles which are allowed to use the railway lines on federal territory. The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 351.3 "Bahn-Signalanlagen" ("Signalling systems for railways") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
