Overview
The following amendments have been made with respect to the previous edition: - amendment of the scope; - change the definitions; - addition in 5.20, Vibration; - addition of 5.21, Environmental conditions; - editorial modification of Annex ZA and Annex ZB. This document deals with all technical requirements to minimize the railway specific significant hazards of portable machines and trolleys intended for work on tracks which can arise during the commissioning, operation and maintenance of portable machines and trolleys when used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer. It does not deal with the performance of the machines, for example, cutting, drilling, grinding.
