Overview

The standard applies for pneumatic half couplings designed to couple either the brake pipes or main reservoir pipes of railway vehicles, without taking the type of vehicles and track-gauge into consideration. Requirements for the design, dimensions, testing and quality assurance of pneumatic half couplings are specified.
