Overview
This document (EN 12167:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 133 "Copper and copper alloys", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany).
Regarding the German collaboration, the responsible committee is Working Committee NA 066-02-04 AA "Strangpress- und Zieherzeugnisse" ("Extruded and drawn products") at DIN Standards Committee Nonferrous Metals (FNNE).
This European Standard specifies the composition, property requirements and dimensional tolerances for copper alloy profiles, including those with L-, T- and U-shaped cross sections and rectangular bars finished by drawing or pressing.
The European Standard applies to profiles with L-, T- and U-shaped cross sections with a circumscribing circle diameter of 180 mm maximum and rectangular bars with thicknesses from 3 mm up to and including 60 mm and with widths from 6 mm up to and including 120 mm.
The sampling procedures, the test methods for verification of conformity to the requirements of this standard, and the delivery conditions are also specified.
