Joint working committee FNLA/NQSZ: Planning, building and operation of laboratories
The Scope of the joint committee NA 055-02-05 GA "Planning, building and operation of laboratories" covers the planning, building and operation of laboratory buildings and individual laboratories in which a minimum of 10% of the usable floor space is used for laboratory purposes. The standardization mirrors the international standardization work of ISO/TC 336"Laboratory design". Additionaly, national and international standardization projects are initiated and compiled. The development of standards is intended to establish the basics for sustainable and purposeful oriented laboratory design, construction and operation. Focal points are in particular the following topics: - Operational concept, user requirements, needs assessment, - Risk assessments, - Site and building requirements, - Requirements for technical equipment and infrastructure, - sustainability concept, - Commissioning and documentation, - life cycle. The aim is to ensure that there are no overlaps or contradictions with the content of the national regulations (in Germany, for example, the BauO, StrlSchV, BiostoffV, Ordinance on Hazardous Substances and associated regulations and DGUV Information 213-850 "Safe Working in Laboratories - Basics Laboratories - Basic Principles and Guidelines for Action").
