Thermal protection and energy economy in buildings - Part 2: Minimum requirements to thermal insulation
Wärmeschutz und Energie-Einsparung in Gebäuden - Teil 2: Mindestanforderungen an den Wärmeschutz
Overview
This standard specifies the minimum requirements for the thermal insulation of components and in the area of thermal bridges in the building envelopes of buildings. The requirements are applicable for: - all rooms heated in accordance with their purpose to normal internal temperatures (≥ 19 °C); - all rooms heated in accordance with their purpose to low internal temperatures (≥ 12 °C and < 19 °C); - as well as those rooms that are heated by the previously mentioned open adjacent rooms. The requirements for thermal bridges are not applicable to rooms heated in accordance with their purpose to low internal temperatures (≥ 12 °C) and (< 19 °C). The requirements for thermal protection in summer (clause 8) are applicable for heated rooms and buildings. Furthermore, this standard provides technical information about thermal protection for the planning and design of habitable rooms in buildings. The requirements are applicable for buildings to be erected, for extensions of existing buildings and for new components in existing buildings. Further specifications, for instance occupational safety, are not covered by this standard.
