Lighting of street tunnels and underpasses - Part 1: General quality characteristics and guide values
Abstract
This standard applies to the lighting of tunnels and underpasses for motor vehicle traffic, also in combination with other road users. Because tunnels and underpasses are to be treated in the same way in terms of lighting, only tunnels are referred to in the following. NOTE It is not the purpose of this standard to state whether a tunnel should be illuminated. The need to illuminate a tunnel is generally determined by the competent authority.
