Daylight in interiors - Part 2: Principles
Abstract
This document specifies uniform principles for daylighting calculations. On the basis of these principles and the corresponding calculation methods, the illuminances to be expected in interiors, the daylight quotients at certain points of the interior, times of use and the radiation powers entering a room can be determined. The basic principles for determining the interior daylighting with a year-round simulation are not described in this standard.
This document is also used to determine outdoor illumination and irradiance levels. For this purpose, certain sky conditions are defined and the lighting and radiation physical conditions of interest for these sky conditions are specified.
