Overview
This standard specifies requirements for detectable routing tapes for the installation of metal-free cables and pipelines in the ground.
It applies to actively and passively detectable plastic tapes with two or more continuous metal conductors. These tapes can be detected using commercially available locating devices and thus warn of the presence of buried cables or pipelines. It is possible to determine from one end whether the metal conductors are intact along their entire length.
