Overview
This European Standard specifies a method for testing the leak tightness under negative pressure, angular deflection, and deformation of assembled joints between elastomeric-sealing-ring-type sockets made of plastic or metal and plastic pressure pipes. This standard is intended for use by manufacturers and users of these socket joints and the testing institutes involved. In particular, the standard covers product safety aspects. DIN EN ISO 13844 is the German version of the European standard EN ISO 13844 which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems and ducting systems". The committee responsible for DIN EN ISO 3503 is NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for pipes") at DIN.
