Plastics - Acquisition and presentation of comparable multipoint data - Part 1: Mechanical properties (ISO 11403-1:2014); German version EN ISO 11403-1:2014

Title (German)

Kunststoffe - Ermittlung und Darstellung von vergleichbaren Vielpunkt-Kennwerten - Teil 1: Mechanische Eigenschaften (ISO 11403-1:2014); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 11403-1:2014

Overview

This document specifies test procedures for the determination and presentation of multipoint data on the following mechanical properties of plastics: - dynamic modulus - tensile properties at constant test speed - - ultimate stress and strain - - tensile stress-strain curves - tensile creep - Charpy impact strength - puncture impact behavior. The test methods and test conditions apply predominantly to those plastics that can be injection- or compression-moulded or prepared as sheets of specified thickness from which specimens of the appropriate size can be machined. The International Standard ISO 11403-1:2014 has been prepared by ISO/TC 61/SC 2 "Mechanical properties" (secretariat: AENOR, Spain). The body responsible for the European Standard EN ISO 11403-1:2014 is CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). On the national level, the standard is attended by Working Committee NA 054-01-02 AA "Mechanische Eigenschaften und Probekörperherstellung" ("Mechanical properties and preparation of test specimens") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
