Recycling of plastics in the circular economy
NA 054-03-03 AA mirrors the international and European work on the recycling of plastics. The committee develops standards, specifications and technical reports for the gathering, sorting and recycling of plastic waste in order to increase the proportion of recycled material and the quality of recycled material in products. This includes the characterization of the quality of plastic waste along the value chain and of recyclates, furthermore the available test methods, as well as the procedures for sampling, sample preparation and analytics. In addition, recycling processes and product specifications are considered in this committee. The committee aims to engage in an exchange of information with other relevant committees.
