Glas im Bauwesen - Thermisch vorgespanntes Borosilicat-Einscheibensicherheitsglas - Teil 1: Definition und Beschreibung; Deutsche Fassung EN 13024-1:2011
Overview
This European Standard contains tolerances, flatness, edgework, fragmentation and physical and mechanical characteristics of monolithic flat thermally toughened borosilicate safety glass for use in buildings. Information on curved thermally toughened borosilicate safety glass is given in Annex A, but does not form part of this standard. This standard does not cover glass sandblasted after toughening. The 2002 edition of the standard has been completely technically and editorially revised. New terms and definitions have been included and clauses 6 "Dimensions and tolerances" and 7 "Edge and/or surface work, holes, notches and cut-outs" have been particularly revised. In the subclause "Tolerances and squareness" of clause 6, the squareness of rectangular glass panes is now expressed by the difference between its diagonals and the limits of squareness are described by deviation between diagonals. Normative Annex A "Determination of U value" has been deleted. A new informative Annex (Annex B in the new edition) dealing with an alternative method for the measurement of roller wave distortion has been added. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-09-29 AA "Glas im Bauwesen (SpA zu CEN/TC 129 und ISO/TC 160; SpA zu CEN/TC 129/WG 2, CEN/TC 129/WG 3, ISO/TC 160/SC 1/WG 2, ISO/TC 160/SC 1/WG 3)" ("Glass in building (Mirror Committee for CEN/TC 129 and ISO/TC 160; Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 129/WG 2, CEN/TC 129/WG 3, ISO/TC 160/SC 1/WG 2, ISO/TC 160/SC 1/WG 3)") at DIN.
