Overview
This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EC Directives. The standard contains the constructional and performance requirements as well as test requirements with regard to general safety. This engineering standard is part of the EN 30 six-part standard series on gas cooking appliances which are for domestic use. It specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and test methods for the safety and marking of freestanding and built-in domestic cooking appliances burning combustible gases. This version supersedes version DIN EN 30-1-1:2009-10. The first supplement deals especially with grill burners. The second supplement modifies the warning notice for glass shut-down lids. The underlying EN document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 49 "Gas cooking devices", the secretariat of which is held by UNI (Italy). The responsible German Committee is NA 040-02-03 AA "Haushalt-Gaskochgeräte - Deutscher Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 49 Gaskochgeräte" ("Domestic gas cooking appliances - German Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 49 Gas cooking appliances") at the Heating and Cooking Equipment Standards Committee (FNH) of DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e.
